Happy Halloween

I woke up early today to make Halloween breakfast.
I made some apple streusel pancakes and warmed up some pumpkin pancake leftovers from our IHOP brunch yesterday.

And I made these little baby pancakes for the baby of the house

warm butter pancake syrup
I love all the clashing prints. The toile, the floral and the lace. haha.
Have a happy and safe Halloween!!!

Halloween Bash

We had so much fun yesterday with the kids! First, we spent the day in school for their Fall Festival. We had cotton candy, lots of sweets, popcorn, nachos and more!

Our Marshmallow lollipops were the first ones to go! I will show them next time!

After the Fall Fest, we walked with about 14 kids and went home to this...

Meringues
My cupcakes!
Everyone loved the cupcakes. These are huge cupcakes because I used muffin liners. I used cotton candy for the spiderweb.  One mom said that they were the best cupcakes she's ever had. It makes my heart super happy!

These roasted marshmallows were awesome!

watching a scary movie
And then my Mr. played some really loud music and they danced the night away!
I do this every year for my kids and their friends. It makes me happy when these kids are happy. I know that these things that they experience when they're young will forever be in them even years from now.

They kept thanking me and their smiles were priceless. It's worth every pain in my body that night and the ginormous cleaning up I have to do today.
Happy Halloween everyone!!! Be safe!

1,2,3 Smile!

I've fallen absolutely, madly, deeply in love with Smilebooth!!!
I know these photo booths are pretty common now but I just love the backgrounds that they come up with. And they also do custom backgrounds and will work with you with whatever you have in mind. How awesome right?
Here are some of my favorites.
The buntings/banners are so beautiful! I love the colors!
I love this one. It's like a scene from an old comedy tv show. And this guy reminds me of Ashton Kutcher for some reason.

And this is my absolute favorite!
Pretty right? They used my favorite garland, the best garland that was ever invented by man!

I did a photo booth myself on my son's birthday, in case you want to see. I wish I had seen smilebooth though before the party. I could have borrowed an idea or two.
Here's the link for our own photo booth.

Ode to the 80's

Do you love the 80's? Well if you're too young then you missed out big time! The 80's was such a beautiful era! Most of us that experienced that era never wanted to leave those years behind!

I think New Wave music (the music in that era) was bigger in Europe and Asia than it was in the U.S. so maybe most of you have not heard of it before.

Recently, I met some new people here in L.A. who are die hard fans of the 80's. They host an online radio called THE VAULT. And they play obscure music 24 hours a day. They also host dance concerts in famous landmarks around L.A. I loved the 80's but I think I just fell in love with it a little more.

Here's my 80's inspired photo shoot. I was bored this morning and decided to take photos of myself, yet again.

Have you heard of any 80's music? Which ones do you love? I love way too many bands. I once saw 'THE CURE' live and it was one of the most beautiful concerts I've seen so far.

Which trend did you like or remember? I remember the Aqua net hairspray that we put on our hair. I've lost count of how many cans I've used up when I was in middle school.
I miss the 80's. I wish that time machines existed so I can revisit it whenever I want to.

Rouge

I'm working on some exciting projects today that will go to the website. I know it's awesome because my kids went to school wearing one and I want one myself! I can't reveal it yet but they are very beautiful.

Here's what my morning looks like.
I couldn't resist. The colors are beautiful. I hope your morning is as pretty.

Nerd or a Chinese kid?

Wondering what I would be on Halloween. Last year, I was Marie Antoinette. This year, I was thinking of being Kai-lan of Ni Hao Kai-lan on Nick Jr. because my son adores her.
What do you think? Would I be able to pull it off? haha.
Maybe  I'll go out as a nerd... I tried that a few minutes ago.

What do you think?   I just hope that no one asks me any Math questions because I'd probably faint.

How about you?  What would you be this Halloween?

Halloween Inspiration

Our Halloween party is this Friday! And I am currently looking all over online for inspiration. Here are some of the things that inspire me.

I love, love these glitter covered pumpkins! I have a lot of vintage glitters, I think I can do this with the girls.

I am so in love with this house. I love old,old houses and sometimes I daydream of living in an old mansion full of antiques. I will definitely decorate it this way.

I love mustaches on things. And this made me smile! I am so inspired to go to the pumpkin patch for some giant pumpkins and make one like this!

Unbelievable! I want to get lost in this! So magical.

This looks scary yummy! and the photo is breathtaking!

I hope that these images have inspired you as they have inspired me. I am off to the post office now to ship some orders!
Have a great week dears!
