Photo Love {sweets}

I've been eating lots of sweets lately. I've broken my promise to eat less sugary stuff this year but who can blame me?

Here are some photos I took of some sweets I've had this week...

Yum.

What's In Our Cart?

We love Trader Joe's! We are guilty of stocking our kitchen with all their 'healthy' desserts! :)

Our favorites from Trader Joe's are:
The macarons
mochi
cuties
their cakes
Danish pancakes

Turkey meatballs
Masala and curry
Naan bread
Vegan chocolate chip cookies
Envirokids cereal
I can go on and on and on...

He did this to himself. He must love Tj's too.

What's your favorite from Trader Joe's?

Around the House

Random photos I took today of the things around me.

I put this string because I'm too short and I had to go on the coffee table to turn the lights off and on

We may not have a perfect house, like those that seem like it popped out from the pages of interior design magazines. Our house may be messy most of the time, we have clutter and oh all the dust!
but boy am I glad that we have a roof over our heads.
I am thankful everyday.

Photo Love {red}

I'm in the mood for red. Here are beautiful reds I've found.
Beautiful coat!
Beautiful bow belt
I adore these shoes! Does anyone know where I can get them?
Red velvet sofa, my dream.

Pretty lips

Do you love red?
We should wear it more often!

Thrifting Miracle

For so long, I have been staring at professional dress forms online. Over $400 each, I wondered how I can afford it. I really need one, I just didn't know how to get it. I stopped analyzing but I kept staring at it.Again and again and again.

Last Saturday, mom and I went thrifting. As I was going through the furniture section, something white was peeking through the cabinets. I moved it and in all it's glory, the exact same dress form I was looking at online, was right in front of me. I heard a choir of angels sing... As the dress form was glowing as if made of gold.
A miracle indeed. $59.99, still expensive but at least it's not $400+. It was for me... Mine, only mine. I paid for it then continued shopping. I was asked many times to show the receipt because a lot of people wanted it. I felt bad for them but come on, I must have dreamt this to life!

Here it is and my loot that day...

God is good.

TGIF on a Sunday

Last night, we had dinner at TGIF. We had so much fun! This happens rarely now because the girls are now off the kid's menu, if you're a parent, well you know what that means.

Waiting for our table...

See no evil, smell no evil, speak no evil.

Our Bedroom

I love our bedroom. It is cozy and decorated just the way I like it... With lots of gold, antiques and just enough dose of art.
My favorite chocolates next to the bed
Beautiful flowers in a vase
How romantic... Just like any bedroom should be... Really.
Not.
Because we only have a queen size bed and this kid in between my mister and I.
Yes! like most Asian families, I am guilty of this. And I suffer every night, due to terrible backaches since we do not have enough wiggle room on our bed. I, too stayed with my mom and dad until first grade! How terrible that must have been for them.

No matter how we try to make him go to his own bed, somehow he always finds his way back to ours.
So for now, I can only dream and cross my fingers that this little guy finally learns how to love his own bed and stays there alone each and every night.

This is one of my big goals before March.
Wish me luck.

Breakfast, the aftermath

I love looking at our messy table after each meal, it only means that I made my family happy by preparing yummy food. Of course, I hate cleaning it all up but I love taking photos of the calm after the chaos.

This was how our table looked like after breakfast today.
I baked banana walnut muffins, they were awesome!

wrong date.
I love my big family and my messy house.
