Mama's Day

We had an awesome Mother's Day weekend! On Saturday, we went to our usual vintage hopping! We did that all day, from 10am until 5pm. It was exhausting but totally loved it! Then that night, my mister had a show with his band and I got to watch it after many months of missing his shows. Then yesterday, my mister and I woke up early to buy flowers and chocolates for my sister and mom, saw a yard sale nearby and bought 2 vintage tops, for me of course we then went to church, then went to visit my grandma at the cemetery and then we went to chi town for some early dinner.

My kids gave me a letter they wrote (typed) and it was just so thoughtful and I am still hung over by it.

It’s the thought that counts not the grammatical and typographical errors.
my daughter made this picture, using the mouse. Not bad 'eh?
I told her, it would have been so much easier with my writing tablet but she said asking me would have spoiled the surprise.

Did you notice the Alice in wonderland theme going on here? I guess, they know their mom too well.

At the cemetery, I noticed my shoes and realized that I love metallic shoes so much ever since I was a little kid. I get weak in the knees when I see sparkly shoes.

Here is my daughter’s shoe, I guess they love what I love. ( I love the brand, It’s called LOVE)

Chinatown: It reminds me of the film Spirited Away.

And it reminds me of my childhood so much. My mom’s friends are all Chinese and also my Uncle’s wife and I also lived with their family for a while. My childhood best friend is also Chinese. So their culture has been a big part of my life, growing up. When I go to Chinatown, it’s like being on a time machine.

There is something magical about these lanterns. I just love them so much.

Isn’t he a cutie? I hope he doesn’t become a bike rider when he grows up.

We also did some turtle and koi fish watching at the pond near the restaurant.

We didn’t eat here, I just took a photo of it because it was the restaurant from the movie “I love you Man”

Our weekend was very simple but very meaningful and I got to spend it with my most favorite people in the world. I love my family so much. And I may not be famous or rich but I feel so wealthy because I have a beautiful family and the fact that, I am a mother.

How was your Mother’s Day?
