Hair Story and What She Wore

We colored our hair this weekend. Mine has streaks of magenta and all my girls have bleached edges/tips. My other daughter couldn't decide which color to do so she has bleached and a little magenta. I really liked how it looks like so I might do it on my hair too.
This is what she wore to school. I don't choose clothes for my kids anymore but I have for many years. Of all my kids, she is the most unafraid of taking risks when it comes to clothes. She would wear anything, even clashing prints.
On her: (twin #1)
Vest:vintage
 Shirt:thrifted
Necklace:thrifted
Striped leggings:hot topic
Boots:Vintage
Skirt:hand me down from me

How it looks like on the back. They have perfect black hair, so coloring only the edges would not damage their hair and we could just cut it off if they get tired of it.

What we used. We bought it from a beauty supply store. Please ask a professional before doing this to your hair.

One Fall Day

My favorite people in the world on a beautiful Autumn day
Unfortunately, I am still trying to retrieve photos from our day in school yesterday for the 100th anniversary. There is seriously something wrong with my memory card. I am happy that this photo was safe and sound but I really hope I also get to retrieve the rest. These are my kid's photo I took yesterday while we were walking home from school. My youngest daughter wearing the Toast with mustache shirt always makes funny faces on photos that is why you don't see her much :) She doesn't have a photo without those funny faces she makes unless it's a candid shot. I still love how this one turned out. I can't believe how big they are now, we are all almost the same height. I hope I get back to you tomorrow with some good news (memory card). See you then.

Hello beautiful!

The Vivienne Westwood shoes came a day early! I'm so happy. It smelled like new, it looked like new, no flaws and I'm a happy girl!

Can I keep both?

My kids love it too!

It feels like it's my birthday!

I got a size 5 this time, a size smaller than I normally wear and it fits perfectly! and I am much, much happier with this color than the lilac one.

taken against the mirror. I love the effect.

It reminds me of pink Barbie shoes.
Though the first order was kind of a nightmare, Zappos' customer service lives up to their award winning service. I can't wait to dance around in these shoes! or just stare at them.

Hello and goodbye

I forgot to tell you that the Vivienne Westwood shoes that I ordered from Zappos already came in the mail last week. So pretty.
But upon closer inspection. There was a crack on the sole and the letter d on the westwood imprint is coming off...

The box also looked so old like the shoes were a return or something. I know I got these shoes on sale but I won't be paying $85 for something that looks like they were second hand.
I'm also a size 6 but these shoes were way too big. So I chatted with Zappos online to arrange an exchange. They were extremely nice! I've decided to get it in size 5 (hopefully it fits) and in my original choice of fuschia with a red heart.
This is going back, bye bye lilac! I will get the new pair tomorrow. Update coming soon.

Photoshoot no.2

The opening of the shop is getting closer and closer. Photography of the products I will be listing on the site has been put on hold due to the on and off rain. I take photos outside the house and it's just impossible to do that right now.

Here are more photos of one of the twins that will go to the website. Please help me spread them around with a link to my blog. Pretty please! I really need all the exposure I can get. And your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I did the photography, concept, styling and make up. My daughter chose what to wear with the skirt. Did we do good? What do you think?

Super happy day

Today is such an awesome day! First, my son's birthday cake that I decorated was featured in the official Yo gabba gabba fan site! And the site said it was their ultimate favorite of all the cakes featured! Awww.
(when you get to their site, please scroll down to see our cake!)
Then, my dream shoes that I've been lusting over for months and months and months has finally gone on sale! half off! thanks to Sweets & Hearts for letting me know about it. I was staring at the color choices for nearly an hour and could not decide on what to get but after my daughter and Mister's suggestion to get this color, I just trusted them and went with it.

Vivienne Westwood in Lilac

I am dreaming of having all the colors. Who wouldn't want them in every color? I'm just a girl who loves pretty things so much! I'm not the type who buys shoes all the time. I am so hard to please when it comes to shoes but I just can't resist outrageous or pretty looking shoes. I don't even really like buying expensive shoes. The most expensive I've ever bought was a crazy print Doc martens boots. I usually buy vintage for as low as $3. But this time, I feel like I owe this to myself for working so hard. And I could even use these for my wedding!

And did I mention these shoes were made from recycled rubber, so comfy and soft and IT SMELLS LIKE CANDY!
Oh my, I can't wait!
