Where I Live

I love, love where I live. We live in a quiet neighborhood in Los Angeles. Our house is located in the city but It really looks like the suburbs. Every good cafe, cool shops and restaurants are a mere 5-10 minutes away. I thought that you might enjoy a mini tour of where I live. I would love to share a few of the cool places I go to near our home.
Paper Source is a really cute spot where you would find a huge array of special papers, stamps and other things for scrap booking and gift wrapping. Their items are mostly hand cut and handmade. You can also shop on their site.

Next spot is The Americana at the Brand. It's a posh outdoor mall, quite high end and yet laid back at the same time. We love hanging out at their fountain, specially during their famous water shows. We love going there on the Holidays because they have fake snow and loud outdoor Holiday music. It's such a lovely place to be in during Christmas.

Next is Katsuya. It's a really beautiful Japanese restaurant with awesome food! I love, love their dessert sampler and the modern interiors. They are located at the Americana at the Brand mall.

Kitson! Oh my, my son is obsessed with Kitson so sometimes when I we go to Americana we try to skip this store because he goes crazy when he's in there. Specially for Yo Gabba Gabba toys that we can't seem to find anywhere else but there! I love their stuff but they all are expensive. So I try to buy the little things that doesn't cost so much. But it really is a visually inspiring and visually satisfying store!

I also love going to Anthropologie a lot. We have 3 branches nearby and they all are different from one another. I also love Urban Outfitters, we have 2 branches close to our house. Those are the shops I frequent as it's more of my style.
I want to share more but I think most of you know these places already. So next time I would share the places that most locals only know about. I think that is more exciting yeah?

The prettiest boots among all boots

I am officially addicted to pretty shoes like I've never been before. My first ever (first ever bec. I know I would buy more someday!) Minnetonka boots came in overnight express by Zappo's yesterday! (I love their free overnight shipping for VIP's, I don't know how to become a VIP but they just gave me a user name and password for the VIP site) And I am in love! So in love that I keep wearing them inside the house. I jump, I dance in front of the mirror and just stare at them all day!I got the black ones. There are other different designs but only comes in dark brown, tan, purple and black. I think you can find other colors in other places.
Like this one
How pretty, right? But I saw this way too late.
But I really do think that black is the way to go. It never goes out of style and it absolutely goes with everything. Let me tell you that these boots are just amazing and I think they were handmade. I call them 'lifetime' shoes, it's the only boots you will ever need and would last for many years, if not a lifetime.I really do think it's an L.A. thing. I see them everywhere here!

I love, love the low cut ones too.image found here

I never liked UGGS, sorry for all the ugg wearers out there but honestly these boots stole my heart.
Find them at Zappos
And I got these in case you want to know

It's raining here in L.A. and I think I will hang out by the fire. Have an awesome Wednesday!

I know we can do this together!
Please click the image and vote! Thanks so much!
Click this and vote!

update: The Gap server is really sucky. Sometimes it's fast, sometimes it's sooo slow. It's okay if you don't vote anymore, he just joined today and all the others has thousands of votes already and with the very slow site they have, I don't think he could make the spot but thanks anyways for those who did get to vote.

I stand corrected

Remember this post Pretty Saturday

I mentioned that they were vintage. The brand was "JC", I found it amazing that it was the same as my initials. Little did I know that 'JC' stood for 'Jeffrey Campbell'. These shoes are called 'Jeffrey Campbell embroidered shoes' and sells for over a $100. I got these pair for $3.00 at a thrift store. I love these shoes, though it lost a little bit of it's magic because now I know it's not vintage but I am still in love with it. I'll pretend that it's vintage and that it traveled many countries before finding it's way to my feet.

Born To Rock!

My son at 3 years old. (He just turned 3 last month) is just amazing. And no, I am not saying that because he's my son. If this was my neighbor's son, I would say the same thing! He started reading at 2 years old. He started playing Nick Jr. games at 2 (probably even earlier). He could turn on the computer, go to his favorite websites and play games or watch
Nick Jr. music videos on youtube, all by himself. He loves music. And he plays his guitar like a rockstar! Style, attitude and all!

Tonight, we saw him in front of the mirror, doing this... with sunglasses and hat which he wore himself. He was too busy doing what he was doing as I snapped photos at his reflection on the mirror.

(It would have been a perfect photo if not for the mismatched pj's, blame his mama for that!)

And then after strutting his stuff, we saw him on the bed. Blanket on him, guitar in arms... Fast asleep.

Goodnight Rockstar! Don't worry you will get to show the world what you got when you grow up.

Halloween Love

It's starting to look like it's Halloween in our home. We have webs around, skulls, pumpkins and a little mummy who keeps blowing off the candles.

We also bought a fog machine and we can't wait to use it for this Friday's scary movie night party!

Yum

Last night, my mister's band had a show. The show was amazing. We went home at 3am because lots of people were there and didn't want to leave. So they played and played until people had enough for that night. We dropped by at a 24 hour Krispy Kreme and I was ecstatic to know that they had Halloween donuts!
The box is so festive!

My favorites are pumpkin spice and chocolate creme filled, They're yummy!
How about you? What are your favorite flavors?

Have a beautiful Autumn week ahead of you
